Bret and Chalene will be the first to admit that they learned this the hard way. Their relationship became distant and they found that they weren’t each others biggest cheerleaders anymore. From their experience they’ve learned that you CAN get back to the way things once were. You CAN rebuild your relationship and start to grow again, together as a couple. Even though I’m sure you have a lot in common with your partner, typically opposites attract and that means how you each go about doing things is probably very different. There’s a reason why opposites attract, and instead of allowing their opposing traits of your partner to drive you crazy, see them as a benefit to your relationship. They are strong in areas you are not, and you are strong in areas they are not. When you change your view of this, your relationship will change. You want to start embracing those differences instead of nit-picking at them.
This is all getting your life back in balance. Sometimes you have to re-learn how to be partners. How to support each other the way the other person needs to be supported.
