I was a liar when it came to sleep. I kept telling myself that I was fine; that I functioned just fine off of 4 hours of sleep. I was telling every one else that they should be getting 8 hours… thinking, “I’m just different. I do fine with the amount of sleep I get.” But in all honesty, I wasn’t fine. And then I started having a lot of issues… which I’ll dive into in the podcast. But I need to just be honest with you, and say that I am now having to repair the damage I caused to my brain from 20 years of thinking I was doing great on 4 hours of sleep.

So I brought on an expert. In this interview with Shawn Stevenson we dive in to the importance of sleep and how it specifically affects weight loss. A shift needs to occur in society so that we begin to value our sleep. We all think that if we’re not hustling 24 hours a day, we aren’t doing something right or we’re not going to be successful. We place no importance on sleep. And because of that, we are setting ourselves up for disaster.
