Operations Manager

Wanted: Part-time, tech-savvy consultant who specializes in online operations management

Overview:

Team Johnson, Inc is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee our tech stack, maintain effective systems and manage quality control on all our products. You’re the right person if you love learning new software, are hungry and curious, and love to be part of a well-oiled machine. We’re looking for someone who loves to own their work and does not need to be micro-managed. And of course – you gotta be a good fit with our international, fully remote team!

This position is open to anyone in the world. You will be working remote as a contractor. You must speak fluent English and be (mostly) available during US business working hours. Team Johnson is based in the US, but we have a fully dispersed team.

You’ve Got to Have:

  • At least 3 years of experience working on the operations side of an online business
  • A love of technology and operations
  • Ability to learn new software and systems quickly
  • Strong problem solving skills – a team of over 40 remote consultants will rely on you to help navigate glitches and find solutions
  • Expert level processing skills to maintain existing systems, propose new operations, and oversee quality control
  • Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative spirit
  • Self-motivation with an obsession for efficiency

What You’ll Do:

  1. Oversee all migrations or new launches for software (i.e. transitioning from one email service provider to another)
  2. Be the main point of contact for all our tech stack
  3. Assist Program Directors with new or refined initiatives for their programs that require tech solutions
  4. Oversee metrics and reporting for all business centers
  5. Update expense reports when software costs change
  6. Audit software plans to make sure we’re on the correct option and/or consolidate/delete as needed
  7. Stay in the loop with the latest software options and pitch possible upgrades/better solutions to CSuite
  8. Assist customer service, marketing and developer team with operational issues
  9. Maintain squeaky clean organization inside current software (i.e. regularly audit Zapier to remove/archive old zaps, etc)
  10. Constantly problem solve and investigate
  11. Oversee quality control on our brands. This includes testing new connections, trying out initiatives before they launch and double checking systems.
