In this episode of The Chalene Show, I give my honest and possibly controversial opinion on the world of bodybuilding, bikini, and fitness competitions. I share my thoughts on the mental and physical pitfalls, including hormone imbalances, metabolism, stress, and body dysmorphia.
I also reflect on my moments in the spotlight during my time when I starred in countless consumer fitness programs, like TurboJam, TurboFire, and PiYo. I admit to playing a role in certain unhealthy fitness ideals, and my own battles with body image.
But before I dive into the world of fitness competitions, I give a life update, now back from over six months of travel. I share the ups and the downs and the effects extensive travel has on sleep and a regular daily routine.
