As the spring brings in warmer and longer days, it seems everyone starts to fantasize about the summer and all that entails. A big part of this daydreaming is sure to include lounging – with those you love most – by the pool, ocean, lake, or patio. And just what do these particular activities often involve? The dreaded swimsuit! Therefore, it makes sense that we’re in the middle of the season people start panicking over having a killer summer body! The prevailing question being, “When do I start exercising?” Which is why I’ve decided to feature “Should You Exercise Every Day?” as the main chat of the week! We’re also going to get deep into personal development with: how to handle uncomfortable situations, why you shouldn’t multitask, and how to manifest your dreams! Whether you see a great body or house or business or spouse in your future, let’s get those wheels turning now…
Health Chat – Should You Exercise Every Day?
Fitness, in one form or another, goes back to the beginning of mankind. Humans, back in the day, never considered exercise a concern. It was just, simply, a way of life. It wasn’t until the late 20th century, really, where we became obsessed with gyms, weights, fitness classes, and exercise machines. And, yet, centuries ago, somehow, people were in better shape than we are today! Why?
Well, the physical strength of our ancestors wasn’t refined by organized programs or routines. Instead, their overall endurance was the by product of daily physical skills – involving instinct and a life or death mentality for survival. So, yeah, they had to be quite mobile.
The operative word above: daily. Kindly let me elaborate on training vs moving and WHY it’s imperative to do just that – MOVE – every day….
The vast majority of people trying to get in shape are doing it for that reflection in the mirror. What they are forgetting – as noted in the video – are the myriad of additional health benefits that result, as well.
There’s a very clear analogy here about why people strive to eat healthier. The overriding motivation is about, you know, fitting into your skinny jeans again! Or getting those 6 pack abs! We forget that once we learn how our relationship with food affects everything from digestion to mood to sleep… we lead happier / fulfilling lives. The fact that your body may look better should be thought of as just the cherry on top!
Cue: ONE3ONE Method. Created to get you to understand how your body works from the inside out. If you want to feel your best – and, by extension, look your best – then sign up for what dozens of thousands have claimed their life-changer. And we’re not even a year in! Next cycle begins on Monday, the 23rd! SIGN UP TODAY!
Personal Development Chat – Why You Shouldn’t Multitask
I’m going to dedicate this blurb to a quote because I think it’s crazy impactful…
“The word priority came into the English language in the 1400s. It was singular. It meant the very first or prior thing. It stayed singular for the next five hundred years. Only in the 1900s did we pluralize the term and start talking about priorities. Illogically, we reasoned that by changing the word we could bend reality. Somehow we would now be able to have multiple “first” things.” ― Greg McKeown, Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less
I mean!
Having priorities in your daily life is synonymous with multitasking. It’s just not a thing. Listen, for the real down-low on all things multitasking, like:
- You’re not multitasking (even when you think you are)
- Why you should never attempt to multitask
To really get systems in place and learn how to hone in on one singular priority, then may I suggest it’s time to invest in a brand new set of SmartLife Push Journals!? They were designed to guarantee your productivity by teaching you how to focus on the area(s) in life that matter most to you at this time. Inventory is running low, so don’t miss out!
Personal Development Chat – How To Manifest Your Dreams
Head over to Amazon books and search “manifestation” and you’ll find over 5,000 results! Clearly, this is a hot topic. While not pervasive in the public eye until The Secret jumped on the scene in 2006, our greatest teachers – from wealth consciousness to spiritual healing – have practiced this law of attraction for eons.
Expanding on the aforementioned SmartLife PUSH Journals… at its core lay the tools you need to create systems for your most rewarding life. Which, in turn, make sure you have the ability to see your plans realized. In other words, you’ll become a manifesting queen!
Hence, I thought you might find it of interest that I used the very same technique to see my own dreams come to fruition years ago. While these journals certainly have evolved (so pretty now!) over the years, the base content remains almost identical. Come along as I show you just one (albeit BIG) dream I was able to manifest into my life and, hopefully, it inspires you to take action for whatever YOU want your current reality to be.
Personal Development Chat – How To Handle Uncomfortable Situations
Who hasn’t experienced an uncomfortable situation? It may range from the totally trivial (you won’t even recall in a week or two) to something much more serious (requiring therapy). To be sure, only a fraction of the issue is ever about what actually happened (i.e., the event). The real decisive factor in whatever awkward scenario that presents itself is HOW you react to it (i.e., perception).
“How people treat you is their karma; how you react is yours.” – Wayne Dyer
Now, as much as we’d like to have super powers to ensure we dominate all future circumstances involving people, places, and things… we need to live in reality. The only aspect you’ll ever have command over is how you decide to respond. It’s your choice: let it bug you indefinitely or use it as a learning experience and, then, move on.
While this next anecdote from a night out with my daughter falls on the totally trivial side of things, the situation could easily have escalated into something quite unfortunate. What happened and how did I REACT? See for yourself:
One thing I know for sure is that you and me & me and you will never have an awkward moment between us – because we get each other.
And I continue to be so grateful for your loyalty.
Reminder: all these chats come straight from my social stories, so give a follow for impromptu fun and inspiration!
Love you.

I would like to take a moment to thank you for your podcasts and for the words of encouragement and support that you continually put out in Twitter. It has helped me at my work place to have a more positive attitude towards people.
Multi-tasking is not the only thing that is ineffective.
Anything that interrupts your concentration, even the shadow over your shoulder that asks “How’s it going?” every 15 to 30 minutes will interrupt your concentration and cost you from 5 to 15 minutes of effective work as you get your mind focused back on what you were doing.
The more complex and difficult the task, the longer it will take you to get your focus back on task.
Hey Chalene, great snap shot this week. I walk my dog twice a day, about 30-45 minutes each time. This time is more to de-stress and take in nature and sunshine. Would you consider this the movement that you mentioned above or are you referring to something that gets your heart rate up?
