Why It’s Not Too Late To Start On YouTube In 2023

I want to chat with you about YouTube in 2023! Now, I know some of you might be thinking, “Why should I bother with YouTube?” Or, “That ship has sailed, it’s too late.” But let me tell you, there are so many reasons why YouTube in 2023 is the real deal and you should definitely consider it.

First off, some basic facts…Did you know that YouTube has over 2 billion monthly active users? That’s a lot of people! And with the rise of smart TVs and other streaming devices, more and more people are watching YouTube content on their big screens in their living rooms.

One of the biggest reasons for YouTube’s popularity is the sheer variety of content available. From educational content to music to health channels, there’s something for everyone. And with the rise of niche communities on the platform, it’s easier than ever to find content that speaks directly to every topic under the sun. Basically, it’s the place people go to for information, and Google (who owns YouTube), makes it so YouTube content is found front and center in searches. YouTube is the second largest search engine behind Google.

Views and Engagement

First of all, let’s talk about views and engagement. Yes, it’s true that YouTube growth can be slow, but that’s actually a good thing. It means that the audience you attract is more likely to be engaged and interested in your content. Plus, the more you consistently post, the more your audience grows. With the introduction of YouTube shorts, it’s has never been easier to get content up, especially if you’re already making Reels and TikToks.

It used to be that YouTube required a lot more setup, graphics, time and effort. But now, you can supplement your longer form videos with shorts. It’s one way to repurpose your content, and also makes being consistent a lot easier. And (as we know) people’s focus is limited thanks to all the short-form videos out there. That means that shorts get watched, and boost views and engagement.

So, keep that in mind with Youtube in 2023: consistency is key. I’ve seen so many people start strong, but then they get distracted or overwhelmed and their channel falls by the wayside. It’s important to make YouTube a priority and commit to regular uploads, which you can easily do now with shorts.

Community and Monetization

Another great thing about YouTube is the community. I’ve connected with so many amazing people through YouTube, both viewers and fellow creators. It’s a great way to network and collaborate with others in your niche. Sure, you can do this in the comments on IG, but when someone takes the time to watch a YouTube, they’re a lot more invested, and, therefore, the exchanges you have in the comments are richer and more in depth.

And let’s not forget about monetization (the reason most people want to become a YouTuber). While it’s true that you need a lot of views and subscribers to make significant money on YouTube, it’s still a great way to earn passive income. And even if you don’t make a ton of money from ads, you can use your YouTube channel to promote your other products or services.

It’s Just Fun

But ultimately, the reason I love YouTube so much is because it’s just plain fun. I love creating content and connecting with my audience in a more personal way than just through social media. And with YouTube, the possibilities are endless. You can create whatever type of content you want, whether it’s vlogs, tutorials, or super specific niched content that drives to whatever it is you stand for or are promoting.

So, if you’ve been on the fence about starting a YouTube in 2023, I highly encourage you to give it a try. It may take some time and effort, but the rewards are well worth it. And who knows, you might just find your new favorite hobby or even a career path. So go ahead, give it a shot and see where it takes you!

As I always say, “Make it messy.” Just DO IT! It doesn’t need to be perfect when you start.
