Plus! How To Respond To Comments On Social Media & 3 Things That’ll Make Your Life Better!

The end-of-year quiet between Christmas and New Years is not to be taken for granted. I’m hoping you’re able to wind down, stray from the normal everyday routine, reflect on the year that is (almost) a memory, and count your blessings.

When I consider my greatest blessings, I have to admit, YOU are at the top of my list.

Thank you for sticking with me. Personally, I think we made – and continue to make – a great team! Your loyalty means the world to me and I can’t wait to see what 2019 has in store for us!

But wait! We’ve got still got one remaining Snapshot for 2018! I’ve decided to end the year with a beauty hack and a laugh. Why? Well, I get you. That’s because we’re the same. #priorities

Beauty Chat – How To Make Thin Hair Look Thicker

Rhetorical question alert: Who doesn’t wish they had naturally thick, luscious, and flowing hair? Maybe you were born with fine hair or, as you’ve gotten older, it has started to thin. If you relate to the latter, you wouldn’t be alone.

It’s estimated that 30 million women and 50 million men experience hair loss. This is due to one’s genetic make-up.

It is what it is, right?

Nope!

It’s borderline 2019, baby! There are tons of ways to make your hair look fuller!

While a top-notch visit to the salon can certainly provide camouflage with a killer cut and style, I have TWO easy breezy hacks for thin(ning) hair that work wonders! And it’s all from the comfort of your own home. #werk

If you’re curious to find your very own, I got you!

And I’d be remiss if I didn’t point out how much one’s diet affects hair quality. Just Google the relation between hair loss and nutrition, and you’ll find countless hits. Why don’t you fix your health (and hair!) from the inside out by joining 131 Method today!? New group starts on Monday, December freakin’ 31st! Honestly, there is simply no better way to enter the New Year!

Social Media Chat – How To Respond To Hate Comments On Social Media (Because I Just Had One)

DMs on Instagram. Chats on Snapchat. Comments on Facebook. Oh, how we want them. Crave them. Feel validated by them. Especially, if you’re looking to expand your reach and/or grow your business. But what’s the protocol for responding?

Engage when it makes sense to.

If someone lauds your new kitchen hack, then definitely say “thank you!” — maybe even feature it on your IG Story. It’s a win/win for you and your follower. If one of your users needs assistance with a product or advice you shelled out, why not? Feature that in your Social Story, too. It can only serve to make you look better.

But how often should you respond to messages? I mean, are you expected to constantly engage?

In an article featured in Forbes, it was noted: “A lack of response is actually a response. It’s a response that says, ‘We don’t care about you very much’.”

That said, if your business is YOU and your audience knows YOU are responding, personally… well, that changes things a bit.

My personal motto is just do your best WHILE also carving out designated time EACH day responding to comments (otherwise, you’ll forget). Get through as many as possible in the allotted time and, then, let it go. You are human. If someone doesn’t understand and sends you a hate-filled message, they’re not your true lifer.

Speaking of which, this doesn’t happen to me often… but it just did. Mary had an issue. Like, she really wasn’t pleased. How did I respond? Enjoy (she says with a wink)…

  1. Chalene
I look forward to your podcasts and any information you have that makes my life better (which is all of it btw) 😉

  2. You are super funny and bring me tremendous joy and people like Mary don’t deserve a reply from you anyways! Haters gonna hate… am I right?!

  3. Oh yeah,
The people that criticize and then block you so you cannot respond to them.

I’ve been kicked out of a few “Christian” Facebook groups so I could not respond to the admins criticism of my sound biblical doctrine which I always accompany with supporting scripture. Clearly, they were not interested in a solid discussion of biblical truth, they just wanted to be right, even if the bible declares them to be wrong.

I’ve even had posts deleted by admins because they don’t want their truth to be proven false. Maybe they are under the delusion that there is such a thing as a “safe place” from God’s truth?

  4. Love all these tips Chalene! I too have fine hair and starting to get greys too, maybe that will thicken it up a bit lol….there are worse things l guess. Blessed to have my other attributes 😉😂😂😂, my family and my health. Thank you for your podcasts!! ❤️
